The Mystery of the Blue Train.
New York Dodd Mead and Company 1928 - First American edition, 8vo, ownership inscription and bookseller's small stamp on front free endpaper, original dark teal cloth lettered in orange, spine slightly dulled, otherwise very good, dust-jacket, slightly faded at spine, minor browning and rubbing to edges and extremities. An attractive edition of one of Agatha Christie's most famous Hercule Poirot novels, partly set against the wonderfully described French Riviera but also in part based in St Mary Mead, wherein abides Miss Viper, a formidable character very much a precursor to Christie's other famous sleuth Miss Marple.
