Housed in a custom blue cloth slipcase with leather title label. Light wear to extremities with corners just starting; slight spine fading; gilt title bright with minor rubbing to left side; owner name inside front cover & 2nd ffep with offsetting to facing page; a very good plus copy, one of the nicest we've seen. The first detailed narrative history of "... one of the most sensational events in the history of the American West... still must be regarded as the beginning point for any serious study pertaining to this most controversial of all overland episodes." - Gary Kurutz, Sloan Zamorano 80 #53.
