well-margined copies in a very well preserved contemporary calf binding, inner and outer frame of blind-stamped roulettesSimon de Colines's introduction of his fine italic in 1528 marks the beginning of the golden age of French printing. These are his first editions of these poets. On this binding the rolls nearer the spine are somewhat flattened, but those near the foredge are beautifully sharp, and can be identified as Gid 124, Cherubin roll CHf3, from a Lyonnese workshop. Gid's reference example is a book of the same year
