- Plate 31: 'Temple de Dayboth a Meaco en Japon - Tempel van Dajboth.' (Temple of Dayboth in Meaco / Miyako / Kyoto in Japan.) This plate shows a temple scene with statues, a golden bull, a procession, trumpet players etc. Extremely rare in this edition. Copperplate engraving on a verge type hand laid paper with watermark. Authenticity 100% guaranteed. Pieter van der Aa (Leiden 1659-1733) was a Dutch publisher best known for preparing maps and atlases. The Galerie Agreable contains plates and maps by the best Dutch engravers: Luiken, Goeree, Mulder, Stoopendaal, Aldert Meijer, Romeyn de Hooghe, ao. Condition: Excellent. General age related toning and light staining. Paper edge uncut and thus irregular and with occasional minimal tears. Original folding as issued. The overall size is ca. 19.3 x 15 inch. The image size is ca. 13.2 x 10.2 inch. The overall size is ca. 49 x 38 cm. The image size is ca. 33.5 x 26 cm.
